High Temperatures for Lubrication
Where: Cement processing, metal working, oven, asphalt plants and more
Typical applications: Ball bearings, roller bearings, kilns
Important Product Properties for the Lubricant:
• Thermal and oxidative resistance
• Shear stability
• High temperature thickener
• Oil of high viscosity – petroleum or synthetic
• Oil of high flash point – low evaporation
• Firm consistency (preferred)
High temperature conditions are present in many industries with running and/or peak temperatures exceeding 120°C. These conditions can cause the lubricant to soften or degrade with the consequence of improper lubrication eventually resulting in component damage. An appropriate lubricant can aid these challenges with its ability to withstand shear and thermal degradation. Peak temperatures exceeding the recommended temperature range require frequent re-lubrication.

ETERNA-600 – High-Temperature Silicone Sealant
PRODUCT DETAILS
ETERNA-600 is a silicone sealant and adhesive that may be used on metal, glass, porcelain, ceramics, wood, rubber and most paint and plastics. As an instant gasket maker, it replaces a wide range of cork, paper, asbestos, felt and metal gaskets. This product has excellent adhesion characteristics, high chemical resistance and will not sag or shrink. It withstands intermittent temperatures from -85°F to +500°F and pressures up to 350 psi. ETERNA-600 is virtually unaffected by chemical deterioration, extreme weather, temperature or aging. ETERNA-600 may be used on pumps, high pressure pipe joints, oil and transmission pans, oil and water pumps, valve and timing chain covers, electric motors and electrical control boxes, gear boxes, compressors, machine covers, rigid flange assemblies and equipment housings.
